It's been so long since I've updated!
(blogger, clearly thought that there's no way else to persuade me to change to new blogger, FINALLY FORCES me to change. rah)

Well, there's not much events in Blogskins lately, I think it's revert back into it's old peaceful society, but sad thing is no chaos lah, GOOD CHAOS, ahem. (: like those nut people, lisee? huiting? huiwen? xpg? ben? SO MANY OTHER MAD PEOPLE? those great designers? LEK? nette? valie? gayanda? :S

I've been on hiatus off from Blogskins for so long lah :(

Tutorial - How to Blend Images

Hi there! Natsuhime (from Photokicho and deviantart) here, I was recruited months ago but have been too - *cough* - busy to post (I deeply apologize to illusioNATION for my inactivity). Well I'm free now, and under request, I am posting a tutorial for you all.
Be happy ~

SIMPLE BLENDING

This tutorial was made with purpose of use of Photokicho, and has been posted here under request. Please do not copy it anywhere else :D

This tutorial uses Adobe Photoshop. It's simple blending so it should work
with all versions.

Step 1.

Select a background and stock photo.

The stock image is just a car. I'm getting yelled at for being
biased and only making girl images... but I don't know squat about cars, so
don't blame me if this is a good/bad car. It was just a random googled image.

If you want to use the same image as me, just click on the image,

it'll give you the image to it's full size.

Step 2.

OK, take the image of your car and go to Layer>Duplicate
Layer and set the document as the signature background.

You should now have this oversized car in your background. Press the maximize box in the corner so that the image takes up the whole screen.

Now, what you do is hit Ctrl+T (or Edit>Transform>Free Transform), and hold
shift, grab onto one of the corner boxes and resize the car to the size
you want, and move it into position.
Click on the image for the enlargement.

Step 3.

Okay, now to blending. Hit enter, to confirm the transformation. Click

on the lasso tool ,
and set feather to around 15px.

Trace around the general shape of the car. Hit Ctrl+Shift+I or Select>Inverse.

Now hit delete. You can press delete as many times, until you get the fading
of your choice. I hit delete 3 times. Now hit Ctrl+D or Select>Deselect.

Step 4.

Okay, what Im gonna do now is change the colour of the car to match with
the image. You do this by going Ctrl+U or Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation.
Tick the colorize box to change the colour. This is the settings I used,
and the result.

Step 5.

Okay! Now we're done, and you can just add a heading or something. Thisis what i finished with. It took about 3 minutes all up.

And there you go! My first post here... I hope it helped you guys out a bit - you'll hear from me again soon!

I have noticed the current surge of competitions recently. Therefore I approached illusioNATION representing Blogskins Times to control the situation.

We will be starting something called Blogskins Times Sanctioned Contests.

Advantages of sanctioning your contests with us:
-- The 99% chance that your contest will be a success.
-- Assured that no other contests will be held at the same time.
-- Will be advertised on out Blogskins Times site.
-- Participants will be assured that their efforts will not be wasted on a contest which the host has given up on.

Of course, all contests to be sanctioned, must also be approved by us.

Eligiblity of starters:
-- Account has to be around for at least 2 weeks.
-- Have a proper email which is checked everyday.
-- Have a blogger account.

To sanction your competition, approach illusioNATION at illusionskeeper@gmail.com

How to know if the contest you are joining is sanctioned?
A banner will be put up with the blogskinstimes logo and the contest name on the banner.

HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO! Another update from me! -winks-
There's not much news in Blogskins, that exactly needs my update, just that Blogskins is getting kinda boring, don't you agree? Skin quality dropping, SOTD quality dropping too, and so on.
WELL, there's something new for you to ponder about.

Since it was such a pity that you couldn't turn up for the November's Blogskins Outing, there's a chance for you next year! During next year's March Holidays, there is going to be one more Blogskins Outing.
Nothing is much organized yet, so give us your opinions, and stuffs you would like to play, or so on our Blogskins Times' tagboard. (: .. Our games on this outing was these 2, E.G:

1) This first one was funny LOL. We have to wait for Xiao Ping to tell us a number. When she says 5, we have to form groups of 5, all the different people -as in the LEKs also have to be seperated. If you're on close term with a particular someone, let's say LEKs (their good examples!), and you're grouped, then you have to do 10 jumping frogs or was it 10 jackass? or do 10 pushups. Main point is to group with new people and not FACES which you've often seen. :D The LEKs, Javier, and Huien kept getting kenna the jumping frog/jackass. Damnit I keep forgetting what's the name of it..

2) This one was rather weird, you have to form a circle, and remember everyone's face and name. Then, we will start from the first person of the circle, and we must say everyone's name continuously and try, without stopping. The best so far was Javier and Anne, I think? :P

We stopped for games after that, and it was chit chat, and Adrian, Kelvin and Leslie to start the fire, so GUYS, think of a good game to play, and post it up on the tagboard! Xiaoping (most probably) would see them, and might consider!

I dunno if 'Lao ying zhua xiao ji (Eagle catch chicks)' game might be good? Or iceman, LOL boy that was a great fun in those Primary school days XD .. or the same common catching? We definately can't accept Hide-And-Seek. Hiding place is limited XD ..

Well keep thinking! :) Pitch in great ideas, and you might have a chance to go for that great Outing!

I owe $10 to Xiaoping, $10 to Eric, and $4 to Kelvin. Zomg X.X next outing would be payday for me ..

HELLO THERE! Many people are eager to know what happened during the Blogskin Outing. Since I was there, I shall say the story out. :)

Well, I went down to the ticketing booth in Pasir Ris station, to look out for the Blogskin people. XP said that she would be waving a board with the words "BLOGSKIN" on top, so I looked around. I saw this group of girls in circle, giggling about, and I saw this girl holding this A-4 sized cardboard. I could see the word "Blog" on it, so I asked. "Excuse me, is this the blogskin people?" and the girl said, "YAYAYA!" I smiled, and told them to guess who I was. The first one guessed, "Shuhui!" and I shooked my head, and the rest guessed some names which I forgot XD Anyway, they all couldn't guess who was I, so I said, "Enex lah." and they were all "OOOO!!" and started squealing about LOL. They all greeted me, so I asked who were they now. The girl holding the sign was actually BESSY! :D Followed by HUITING, XIAOPING, HAJAR, ISABELLA, HUI EN, COLLEEN AND ME! :D Soon after, Queen Rachel came, with our photographer Abyss :D After, Huiwen, Shuhui and Gwendolyn -cough- came. Oh we were a funny pack :D I was jumping around holding the sign, shouting "BLOGSKIN PEOPLE!" XD .. Soon we set off, and Javier also met up with us. We reached the destination, with the help of Leslie, after 1 hour of search, and got to the pit. LEK was already there, so was Janice, Grace, Minming, their friend Junjie, Adrian, Kelvin, Valerie and well, if there were any others, sorry if I forgot about you! We went down to the beach, and we played some games, and Ben, Yinny and Angella, oh yeah, with Cajing too. YAY.

We were having fun, and we started talking alot while Adrian, Kelvin and Leslie tried to start the fire. Soon, by 6.30, they finally got the fire going, and I ate the chicken wing! YUM. It tasted so sweet, so honeyish, !!!! I took at least 5 of them that night :D Satay was good too, and so were the salmon and prawns. BAHAHA. We had our photos taken by dear Abyss, and soon, I had to go home. I don't really know what happened next, coz I went home around like 7.20 like that. (:

Sorry, I couldn't post before as I had to study for PSLE. Okay, recently I received complains about blogskins with pictures from other web sites. I find it okay, but it takes out the joy of creating an image yourself. It is okay with me so long as

1.The web site is credited
2.NOT porn
3.The picture matches and blends well

Most people think that such people are creeps who enjoy stealing others' work. I disagree. If people credit the artist, it's okay. But if the artist doesn't enjoy it...a whole different story. You must make sure the artist is super fine with it. (FLASHBACK: remember how June used to scold people for not crediting artists? lol) Although I'm okay with this, I prefer creating an image from scratch or giving a picture a makeover. It's fun (diao) and you get to customise it perfectly to fit your blogskin.

NEW COMPETITION!!!! (skins should all be submitted by the end of october)

Email me (dudadancegirl@hotmail.com) to inform me that you want to take part. Then if everything goes according to plan, I will email you the image (telling people your skin is in the competition). I will post the link to your skin in the forums (general section)(after the end of october) and people can vote there. How to vote in the forums? Just tell me whose you like best. Each person is entitled to only one vote, so choose carefully. You put it in your skin description when you submit the skin.

The competition name is "BLACK,BOLD,WHITE".

What should the skin be like?

Lets say, for example, you would like to put more songs than 4, just keep adding on to the list. But make sure when you add it for the <options> area, add another for the songs url area.

Be sure to add on for both the song name area and for the song url area, or its either that your song won't play or you won't see your song name in the drop-down list. Either ways, your song can't play.

HELLO (: I'm the newly recruited writer of your number 1 best site for juicy happenings in blogskins.com, ENEX! Okay, so my first post in this website is about CSS. :D I'm sure many of you have already known what's CSS full form, as what our Saturday, June 24, 2006's post have already said.

CSS's long form is actually Cascading Syle Sheets.

That is the starting for the style sheet, it has ALWAYS got to be that way. I don't know why, so don't ask me xD

Now, the bolded part, aka FFFFFF is actually the coding of the colour white .. If you want the background colour to be white, you got to put it as FFFFFF .. the hex code is optional, but I still suggest you put it there. Next, we add:

font-family: tahoma;

The bolded part now, is the word TAHOMA. Font family, which means the wide variety of font. To choose what font you want for your page, you can type over there, replacing the word tahoma.. There are different fonts you can choose, not only tahoma. I'll name the few.

Arial

These are the few fonts that people would use, so stick to these :D .. Next, we add the size :

Bolded part again, 7pt.. From the name, font-size, you can tell that it's doing with the font size luh. Well, 7pt is the size you're reading now :D Here are the sizes untill 10pt :

Well, this would be an example. You see that border-bottom : 2px dashed blank; thing there? Well, look at the example of my heading, and the dashed thingy below the word Example. That would be the coding for the border-bottom : 2px dashed black; but in a BLACK :D You can change it if you want. There are different types of styles you can use, other than dashed, like Solid (one straight line)
You can change the text-transform to either uppercase, or lowercase :D For the text-align, you can align it as either left, or right or center. font-weight. It can be either italic, or bold, or ~~strike~~. The background-color is as auto-flow so that the colour would be the same as the background, but you can change to other colour :D

Now, A:hover is the important part around here. If you want it to change to other colour upon hovering on the link, you can change it, if not you can make the text transform, to either uppercase or something :D If you want upon hovering a link and your cursor to change, you may too. (:

After this, you would be done, BUT, remember to add a :

How to make a basic blogskin PART I
Breaking down the elements covered in the tutorial

I've been wanting to make this quickie for awhile now, especially after snowflakes13 mentioned the whole idea. Well, HTML explanations aren't an easy task to break down let alone layout tutorials. Perhaps I was just too lazy. However, since I'm unable to sleep, I shall take the initiative to type out a basic layout tutorial. Where to start, where to end.

We'll be focusing on the ever so common layout style- The div layer style AKA the never ending style. It'll basically be broken down using a sample of codes that I personally and frequently use. I'll explain the different elements that's used in the layout's coding. Shouldn't be too difficult. In this tutorial/guide, you are not required to have a website creating program (frontpage, dreamweaver..etc) nor are you required to have an indept knowledge of sprucing up dull pictures aka, no photoshop knowledge needed. All you need, is perhaps a basic of html, tags, maybe a knowledge on what CSS also known as Cascading Style Sheets.

No worries though, I'll be sure to detail everything. I hope :P But it shouldn't be difficult, because this is perhaps the simplest of layout coding you can ever come across without any advance addons of "I can't even bear to imagine the consequences of telling you people" type of codes :)

Break down of what I'll be going through, bare in mind, I'm not an html expert unfortunately -.- So please, bear with me. I'm trying as best as I could now.

What is HTML?

HyperText Markup Language.
Our main element for any layout, or 'skins' alike.
No idea what the heck that means? Neither do I! Let's take a look at the source I copied and pasted from powerelf-server-appliance.greencomputer.com/solutions/glossary.shtml

"HTML is a set of codes that are displayed over a web browser. It is a guide for the browser with instructions on how the page is set-up, where and how text and graphics should be placed."

See? In other words, HTML would determine where your contents go, even alter the size of your graphics, align the different tables and layers according to your taste as well as change the overall outlook and basic design of your layout such as your text's font, size, color, your layout's background color as well as the title of your layout. What I mean by title? If you look at the top of your browser, you'll see "Blogskins Times". Yes, you'll be able to alter those as well.

However, your layout does not completely rely on HTML itself. Which brings us to the next element.

What is CSS?

Cascading Style Sheet.
I shall quote out of www.brontedesign.com/glossary.asp

"A new feature being added to HTML that gives both Web site developers and users more control over how pages are displayed. With CSS, designers and users can create style sheets that define how different elements, such as headers and links, appear. These Style Sheets can then be applied to any Web page."

Easily said, CSS is an easier way to control the outlook of your links and contents. It saves you the hassle of adjusting the color, font, size of every section word by word. CSS would automatically adjust all that for you with the correct div tags added in for each individual section/text. We'll head on to how CSS is used later on in the guide.

With CSS and HTML explained, we still dont' know where our contents go!!?? Hence I introduce to you, Div Layers

What are Div Layers?

"A div element is a block of content that can be positioned anywhere on your site by using absolute positioning and the div tag. The purpose of div elements is to hold content, whereas frames hold pages. This content can be placed anywhere on your site and it can even overlap. The content can consist of images or html. All of the style elements like scrollbar color and font color can be controlled by a simple style sheet."

Simply put, you can use DIV LAYERS to align your contents, it's also the 'box' where you place all your contents in. You can use DIV tags to apply CSS to your content, and also to specifically align your objects on specific coordinates. For example, you can adjust your div block(box) to be in the center, OR you can adjust it so that it only moves 20px from the extreme left of your screen. You are also given the ability to apply filters using your DIV tags, such as filtering out colors of scrollbars which are frequently used for transparency, or you can also apply filters that alter the opacity of your content 'box'. We'll touch on this when we use a full sample of a layout code.

Do you have an understanding of the basic elements involved in "Divide Layer" skins now? Try to digest all that for now. It is possibly the easiest to learn other than Mapping. What will we be covering in the next section of this layout tutorial? Let me do a quick breakdown.

1. We'd be understanding the basic build of a layout, slowly using the below example and building it into a basic skin, learning at the same time of course.

105: Read the skin's description carefully before rating a skin it doesn't deserve.

If one skin is meant to be simple, don't ever rate it and say, "TOO SIMPLE!!! (3 stars)". The design is frigging meant by the designer to be simple. Rate according to it's quality, NOT by whether it's complicated or simple.

If one skin's color clash, READ THE DESCRIPTION before saying, "THE COLORS DON'T GO WITH EACH OTHER! I dun like. (3.5 stars)" It's fuking meant to be like that, it is meant by the designer to be colorful, YOU DON'T LIKE YOU DON'T FRIGGING RATE, you only conjure hatred. Oh yes, who cares whether you like or not, art is a free creative form of expression, shut it if you want to be a smart aleck.

Hello everyone!!! So sorry. Long time no upd8. I found a tutorial on how to make an image look sketched from aethereality. Because it will take sometime to load, I typed it out for you guys.

1. Get an image. (duh)
2.Duplicate the layer.
3.Select the second layer and change the blending mode to color dodge.
4.Then, ctrl+shift+U to desaturate. Then ctrl+I to invert.
5.Select the first layer (the bottom layer)
6.With the layer selected, ctrl+shift+u
7.Don't worry. You did not make a mistake. At this stage it looks like the entire image turned blank. Select the top layer again.
8. Select Filter >> Blur >>Gaussian Blur. Radius not over 9.0.

Boo! I am kukubird. Bleah, don't ask me how did that nick come about, coz Im a precise kuku.. =.=. Just a little note to introduce myself.

I currently reside in Singapore, studying in Punggol Secondary (really, we dun have seafood in our canteen). Im 15 years old, and one of the few guy designers lurking everywhere in the lair of webpage designing. Yes, I'm a junior of illu (Benjamin) in secondary school. I don't think I am capable of giving tutorials, yet, but I'll try my best to help people who, ugh, need help.

heh... right, my rant, although I ain't sure whether this is a place where I can go on and on with my ceaseless complains.. buahaha, heck, here goes....

I hate objects skins as much as Benjamin hates model skins. I mean, I friggin' detest skins with the titles, "Attack of the -fill in any objects youcan think of- ", then show some stupid pictures of retarded-ly huge robots or objects attacking a bunch of grapes (supposingly, humans). =.=

Designing skills are mediocre, and har har, people seem to like them (the skins) alot.

Right, I'm not targetting at some really great designers whose objects skins are great, but I am now ranting about how many of these nonsensical skins are emerging out like pimples popping out from benjamin's face. Lols.

Initially, such skins were really cool, hilarious and creative. But now, atleast to me, they have turned stale and boring, and stupid. But blogskinners are still producing stupid skins with designing skills no greater than chucking brushes all over, and call it, a blog layout. Go draw on your house tiles and chew them or something, stop wasting space.

blah... i talked like a complete pseudo blogskin master... but trust me, TO HELL WITH THE "-attack of the shit, underwears, robots, monsters, shoes, flaming nincompoops, faggots- " SKINS.

Oh, a toughy. First off, you can start by gaining a general knowledge of CSS sheets and Html. Certain webpages or websites are good at such things. In fact, you can use this link (Click me!!), and check out the resources available. So lets assume you have within your grasp, the relevent program (photoshop! or something) to create an awesome blend with 1,342,425 pictures that you've in store within your network. Well, you can simply check out tutorial site (pixel2life, goodtutorials) for information and walkthrough on creating cool effects and what not. HOWEVER, if you lack the sufficient programs, you can always start off simple with which ever pictures you have. Remember, aim high when you've the confidence to succeed, if not, take one step at a time. Blogskinning takes time, patience, creativity. Do not rush into it, only then will your creation be showered with your own pride. =D You can really just ignore everything I just said that's meant to be 'philosophical~' Oh, do visit this forum page - Forum Page, lol

Rule Numero UNO- Gentlepeople, Arm yourself with a notepad and pen! No! Not for writing down my useful note, but for stabbing me in the eye and stuffing my mouth with when I'm done babbling :O But anyway...

Blendingggg
I know it turns you on so much to blend and start using brushes, gradients, whateverwhoever and try to make a perfect image of wunnerful fading people and woahable colors, but people!! Blending can turn one thing into the most beautiful or more disgusting piece of art EVER. Think carefully of what you're doing. Scroll on.
A/N: I'm not good at actually explaining so uh, use your fantastic imagination and screw it up :)

1+ Never never put a thousand pictures into one blend. So maybe you love Orlando Bloom that much(omg me too! not), but that doesn't give you the reason to stuff all 1673243million of his photos into your blend!! It's like, creating a MONSTER! Honestly, 1 or 3 images are good enough, or it'll become, as comments go "Too crowded, too messy, too wtf". No kidding :) Different poses are good too

2+ Colors?! Ahhh... I don't know how to put this, lol. Personally, I find it that it's kind of ugly when people over do their blending. Too much overlay is no good, it's very striking and hard to see, in other words, it BURNS THE EYES. Then again, if your blend is in greyscale or 1 solid color, it wouldn't be appealing either. Try varieties. Maybe gradient colors or more. But please, have the colors at least MATCH! I don't think brown and purple is a good combination, right? Or any other alienated color combination aliens can think of. If you fade your blended image into your background too much, it becomes too diluted that it looks dull too. So have your color try to stand out from the background if you wish to feature that particular image. Which I assume is the purpose of having them there.

3+ Blending o.O Have you seen people use overlaying images before? This is easy, stack to images above each other and set the blending mode to something simple, buuuuuuuut, if you align your images wrongly, your whole 'masterpiece' would come out weird too. I mean, I don't think its nice seeing one finger suddenly fading out of another face's nose, is it? Alignment is a very important factor when designing an image. It has an unconscious effect that would inevitably attract people when done right.

4+ Patterns. You love grids, scanlines, but your main purpose is to have the IMAGE stand out, not the PATTERN! I've seen people with thick scanlines that I can't even see the damned picture =/ KNow what's a good technique? Have a vague pattern. It's visible, but doesn't steal the image's spotlight. This technique can easily be carried out by changing your scanline's blending mode to overlay or softlight and play with the opacity as well.

End of Part 1 o.O I'll put up more when I think of it. Actually, I'm not a fan of blends xD But I've seen alot and well, most of them scare me because it's like entering a parallel universe where everything burns my eyes and scare me shitless with its OMGDISCO colors...

Critiques VS Personal Opinions

Author's Note : I'm very liable to be flamed and thrown eggs at. I hold all responsibilities of putting up this article. Prove me wrong, right whatever... But I do very much have the urge to pinpoint this out. All contents do not direct towards any individuals or groups, so get your facts right before you come screaming that I'm flaming you. This is fairly general.
Woohoo, my first article. This is for all you people that claim to be critics and go "OH! The model is ugly. 0.5stars!"

Blunt critiques? or are they just opinions of your fancy?
Are they just straightforward comments that went through some sort of contemplation and states facts indifferently be them harsh or flattering, or simply a form of verbal diarrhea except in written form?

In my utmost humble opinion and observation, I would like to say that the definition of blunt, straightforward and terms of such standards and how do I call it, "Genre"(?) are highly misunderstood, especially if one were to add 'critique' behind them all. However, not many would deem it worthy of taking such 'minor' issues into important regards, thus somehow degrading our standard of ratings and critiques at communities like blogskins.com these days. It's like Po-teh-toh, Po-tah-toh. They're both the same, they're both edible and heck, who gives a damn how they are pronounce? It's still a potato. A potato will be a potato whether it be baked, cooked, chopped, mashed or thrown away.

A/N; I shan't use 'comment', as we actually do see people who try so very hard to critique yet only a spoonful successes. What is a critique anyway? I'd say, it's "To review or discuss critically." (as taken from Dictionary.com) I don't see any 'discussion', but I see many harsh remarks that are really too &$@%$ to be taken seriously - only offensively.

So many claim to be blunt critics, but if you were to ask me, I'd say that a good two handsful of them are just going through verbal diarrhea. They state personal opinions, shotgun assumptions and personally, I see no professionalism in their comments. No contemplation, just opinions, no suggestions, nothing but what they feel and not what they see. Dare you say the word CRITIQUE?

In my case, I honestly expect critiques to be constructive and indifferent. No bias intentions towards the critics themself or the artist alone. Not just because it doesn't appeal to YOU that you have to degrade the particular product so. Eg; "Oh, it looks ugly to me so I shall give you 1 stars". This sort of relates to (pardon my profanity) shit comments and ratings given to skins unworthy of this treatment in the past, no?

Haha, off the serious note. I personally am lost as to how to continue or conclude this article. It really relates to the type of comments I see around these days. Perhaps I've high expectations, but a critique should be said with good intentions or not be said at all. (Familiar? "If you've nothing good to say, don't say anything" haha.)

I particularly picked this out because it really does happen even if not at Blogskins.com or not obvious to the mass public at all.

Pardon my proveless opinions, but this is a personal opinionated article :P

Possibilities
1.People who rate low because they don't like the celebrity
2.Very hard to decide on the picture
3.Too common(well, last year)
4.Scared that people hate the celebrity
5.Some find no creativity in it.
6.Simply don't want anything to do with the celebs

My name is Ben, from S'pore. I have been in the armpit of the country for the past 4 years. *Cough* Punggol Sec *cough*. Working with Infinite Ideas now, An Events Logistics company. I would be going into Singapore polytechnic in a few weeks time. I shall be going into Infocomm Securities Managment. Been in Blogskins for close to 2 years now (would be 2 yrs in June). I admit, i hate to credit stuff in my skins. Yet my new skins are all my creations, meaning, i took the photos myself etc. Me, like yuki, not really making skins anymore.

So well,
Illusionskeeper, aka, Ben has just gone for a one week trip to Darwin, Australia. So well, just thought I'd like to take this opportunity to wish him and his family a safe and enjoyable trip! :D Hahah. Hopefully he'll buy something back for each and everyone of us? :b

Anyway, since he's MIA for a week, just thought I'd let you all know that I'll be taking over the Tribute to Myles Skin Competition for the time being! You all better start sucking up to me ar! :b Well, since it's the March Holidays now for Singaporeans, not so sure about the rest of the globe, more entries for the competition should be coming in, right? Since I'm a moderator person now, well, at least I think I am, am I? (Blah, we'll leave that to Ben to decide, lol.)

Not many people make blogskins during the school week I realise. And it's really obvious why. School work piles up every single day. And not many people have time to make skins anymore! Oh poo to school. Doesn't it suck? And those who actually submit skins either

1. People whom ain't schooling
2. People with no homework
3. People who dont do their homework
4. People who have alrdy done theirs

& so on and so forth. Oh man, do you all think this is like irrelevant or something? Hah, well I'm just trying to drive at some survey which I did myself. Yes, myself :D (ego moment, cough cough.) So this is just the introductory rites (: It isn't boring you yet, is it! ):

Exactly how many skins are submitted each day?
I, being the crazy self I was, went to count the number of skins! From the dates Feb 19th-23th. And yeah, the results are as follows :D

Sunday, February 19th: 39
Monday, February 20th: 38
Tuesday, February 21st: 52
Wednesday, February 22nd: 23
Thursday, February 23rd: 42

This survey shows that it's totally nonsense(well for some people at least)! What everyone says, "Oh I've been really busy cos of school." Then wtf! Tuesday, 52 skins submitted? Hell yeah, babeh, that seems like ALOT doesnt it?

Enough about the rouge accounts. Especially Chair707. This site has been talking about them since the beginning. Lets discuss about blogskins.com.

What do we put in our profile pages?

I did a little research. The first one is came upon is these sort:

1)Ghost accounts. Accounts without words for profiles. They have no profile/submitted skins/comment/forums postings. Nothing. A BLANK account.

well i found another one; and it had a red flag. The profile is empty. YET, it has a rate flag.

I was interested so i clicked on it.

Ohh.. someone realli has something against him.

2) Disclaimers. They will put something like; THIS IS HOW I RATE, i don't care if you don't like it.

or

3)Then we have the very Notorious Tagbox profiles. The tagbox sort of work as a comment system. But the problem is, tagboxes have no control over who can comment and who can't. Which is a good and a bad thing.

Good: You don't need an account in blogskins. Sometimes thay actually give good comments.
Bad: Spamming. Lots of it. People asking for sex. People mascarading others. etc etc.

4) The short and sweet types. These people want to keep it simple. They give you brief description of themselves.

5) The MEGA display pictures type. They practically use a wallpaper and use it as their display pic.

6) "This are the users i admire type". They put tons of user's links (AND never link me).

7) Then there is the ILOVEPINK profiles. Where everything is pink.

8) The MISSING accounts. Self explanatory. He freaking rated my skin. Yet he is missing.

9) The NON multibrowser compaitability type. I don't know what the hell its saying, what about u?

10) Of course. The photoshop savvy ones make a profile using a single picture. Really nice touch, actually. But i pity the 56k modemn users....

11) And we have the "I M LEAVING" type. They are either leaving blogskins.com or not plannin to make skins anymore.

ok la. this one not so bad la..

12) Then we have the "Many many favourites" type. They make so many skins their favourite that it is practically ridculus!

13) Then there is those who submit tons of skins like me and maystar. Talk about many skins.

And i also see people rating low on maystar's skins. Especially the newcomers, here i will be telling you this. Maystar used no fancy equipment. She used a notepad. She wrote her won layouts. And that was many years ago. Of course they dun look very good anymore. Well it was really good then... When she was still making skins..

Well, since I'm one of the admin, I gotta at least write something, eh? As you can see, there's quite a lot of posts on the room404, chair707, right? So, I'm also gonna write a little about them. Hope y'all wouldn't fall asleep!
Many of y'all said that these two users are jealous of the blogskinners. Need a definition? Found one from Dictionary Infomation.

The aftermath of a riot is never a nice sight. Not forgetting the end of the riot. OUr reporter were there at the aftermath of the campaign. It all ended when myles said

Everyone returned to their dwellings peacefully. But the Chair707 situation is still unresolved. The rouge still being at large.

Tjaptjay's campaign requesting for Myles, the founder and only moderator of blogskins, to disable the rouge blogskin rating account has began. Reports says that a smallscaled riot has taken place in the forums area, petitioning that the rouge account must be disabled. Although the rouge was last seen and assaulted was on the 22nd of jan 2006.
Poster have been seen all over the site, offering rewards for the capture/ information of the rouge.

If you see someone walking down the streets dressed like that, especially with the 707 mark. Please keep away from him/her. It is armed and dangerous. Call blogskins times immediatly. Widespread discontent over the rouge's rating has caused a local artist shermin_sim94 to draw a caricature of what she thinks of room404 and chair707.
Hoping myles will see it and ban them.

Still remember when it all began?
When Error404 (now known as icelamontea) was innocenty accused of being room404. room404 was a rouge blogskins.com account who rates any skin with a 1 rating(there wasn't a 0.5 rating at that time). It all began with this. Now, more and more rouge accounts have been set up. Recently, the more popular prodigy, chair707. Rating every skin with a 0.5rating on its path. But something strange happened on 23 Jan 2006. Chair707 began rating every skin he saw with a 5 star rating, stating that he was in a good mood. But both of the rouge accounts seem to have been working in the same manner. They accuse someone else of being themselves. It seems that the 2 scapegoats so far have been error404 and tjaptjay. But since nothing is clear, we can only give them a benefit of a doubt that they are not really the ones controlling the rouge account.

Room404's account seems to have been disable or deleted. But, chair707 is still at large.

update: the Valentine day skin contest updates is now posted on the right side of the webpage. =)
